Ashley working at a site in West Ham, London

Ashley began working in commercial archaeology in 1999, after studying Ancient History at UCL. Since then he has worked mainly in the London area, on a wide range of deeply stratified urban sites.

In addition, Ashley has excavated in Iceland for the Institute of Archaeology in Reykjavik and at Sidon, southern Lebanon for the British Museum and the Lebanese Department of Antiquities.

Ashley is one of the site supervisors at Prescot Street which means that he will be helping and monitoring the less experienced archaeologists on site during the dig.
