- The cuts of Roman quarry pits [829], [821] and [755] were dug into (838), the fill of [835], a heavily truncated roughly square pit that was stratigraphically the earliest feature in this area of the site. Fill (2201) was a sterile gravel fill that probably resulted from slumping.
