    • In an area of heavy truncation Roman quarry pit [2145] was dug into (2152) a gravel capping layer representing latest surviving fill of pit [2151], that also contained primary fill (2150), which was seen slumped deposits from the sides of the pit. Cut [2151] was dug into the natural gravels of the site area.
