Contexts

  • Context: PCO06_1507
    • Dump of charcoal rich occupation debris under (1389)

Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Underlying layer (1389) was (1507), a dumped layer of Roman occupation debris. It was unclear whether this related to 'domestic' presence or cremation pyres. However it was fairly clear that this material wasn't burnt on the ground in situ: none of the underlying contexts showed signs of having been scorched.
