Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Cut [1863] was cut into (1866), the latest fill of pit cut [1868], that was also filled by primary fill (1867). Deposit (1866) was seen as a later capping deposit, used to level off the area of the land affected by the excavation of pit [1868]. Fill (1867) was seen as a slumped deposit. Cut [1867] dug into the natural gravels of the site area, and was one of the earliest features in this area of the site.
