Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Under lying post Medieval soils (979), and truncated by cut [1139], was cremation urn burial 1140. Identified bones included rib and a possible long bone. The different forms of pottery are indicative of several previous cremations scooped up from the pyre. *occasional bone is blueish-white*, it was filled with (1153), Fill of cremation [1140]. Cut [1154] was cut into (1204), the fill of Roman I pit [1205].
