Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Redeposited Gravel layer (1893) overlay (1875), the fill of [1876]. Pit cut [1878] was also dug into (1875). Cut [1876] was a quarry pit cut, that essentially had a single fill with occasional gravel tip-lines; so (1875) was seen as a back filling deposit. Cut [1876] was dug into (1869) the latest fill of [1872]. Deposit (1875) was recorded as (303) and (304) in the evaluation.

Dating Narrative

    • A total of 14 pot sherds were recovered from the fill of this pit, all of which were dated to 250-400AD.
