    • In an area heavily truncated by modern activities, underlying the modern overburden lay (1695), which formed the fill of rubbish pit [1694], dug into (1803) the fill of [1804].

Dating Narrative

    • No datable pot was recovered from the fill of this pit, but it did produce 16 fragments of mid to late 18thc glass wine bottles. Therefor the pit is seen as Late Post Medieval.
