    • Gravel extraction pit cut [1844] was dug into (1854) the fill of pit cut [1855], seen as a gravel extraction pit due to its size, which in turn was dug into pit fills (1879), and (1740)=(1741). Fill (1854) was seen as a back fill deposit, dumped to fill in the area affected by the pit cut.

Dating Narrative

    • The fill of this pit, (1854), did not produce any datable finds, but given its stratigraphic position it is seen as Roman.
