Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Cut [1880] was dug into deposit (1899), the upper fill of pit cut [1901], that also held primary fill (1900). Cut [1901] was truncated by modern intrusions. The two fills were very mixed, and so it is assumed to have been a refuse pit. Pit cut [1901] was dug into the natural gravels of the site area and was one of the earliest features in this area of the site.

Dating Narrative

    • Seven pot sherds were recovered from (1899), all of which were dated to 250-400AD, and one sherd was recovered from (1900), which was broadly dated to 50-400AD.
