Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Horn core pit construction cut [1587] was dug into (1758), the fill of linear cut [1759]. At the eastern end of the linear was a cluster of nails which have been bagged together, and which were associated with frequent charcoal lumps. Cut [1759] may have been a beam slot which was robbed out? Had many nails at one end and two possible post holes aligned with the linear at the other. See sketch plan for location of nails. Cut [1759] was dug into (1814) and (1795).
