Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Redeposited brickearth layer (1998) overlay (1999), sampled as <230>, the fill of large pit [2050]. This large pit was of unknown use. Its amorphous nature suggests it may not be a deliberate cut, but it was also heavily truncated, which may have affected the interpretation. This is seen as a gravel extraction pit. It was cut into (2146) and (2058).

Dating Narrative

    • A total of 29 pot sherds were recovered form (1999), fill of this pit, all of which were dated to 120-160AD.
