Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Post Medieval construction cut [1444] was dug into (1342) the fill of ditch [1343], which was dug into (1349)=(313)=(1702), the fill of Post Medieval ditch cut [1350]=[314]=[1701]. Context [1343] is seen as a recut of [1350]=[314]=[1701]. The ditch is seen as having been a boundary marker, in both phases.

Dating Narrative

    • A total of 19 pot sherds were recovered from the fill of this feature, 16 of which were dated to 1480-1550AD, and three of which were dated to 50-160AD; these latter sherds are seen as residual.
