Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Underlying refuse dump (222) lay dumped deposit (225), with frequent charcoal inclusions, was a rich Roman deposit overlying the fills of north south aligned Roman ditch [230] that was cut into redeposited gravels (258). Context (225) was seen as a further refuse dump, not particularly mixed, but the charcoal inclusions could indicate refuse from the cemetery.
