Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Underlying the modern overburden lay (1253), the fill of brick lined soak-away {1252}, which was built into construction cut [1250]-[220] from the evaluation. Construction cut [1250] was dug into the Post-Medieval agricultural soils.

Dating Narrative

    • No datable finds were recovered from the fills of this soakaway, but it given its stratigraphic position, its from and function it is clearly Late Post Medieval.
