Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Context (239) was the mixed fill from collapsed edges and refuse of cut [245], which overly primary fill (240), a thin dark silt layer at the base of the cut, which was possibly silting after excavation, suggesting the pit was surrounded by soil, but this fill was also mixed with occasional cultural inclusions, so could also have been part of the refuse deposits. The feature was cut by [231], and was cut into pit fill (248).
