Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Truncated by Post Medieval foundation cuts was (1293), the fill of pit [1292]. Two skulls (1286) and (1303), both without lower jaws were placed deliberately in the pit, rather than dumped, as indicated by both the skulls being upright. Pit [1292] cut into pit (1272) the fill of [1271].

    • A total of seven pot sherds were recovered from this feature, all of which were dated to 120-160AD.
