Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Cut by Post Medieval construction cut [2183] was the weakly cemented fill (1283), the fill of [1284]. The fill was brownish grey silty sandy with pot, CBM, and inclusions. The cut itself measured 1.95m NS, 2.10m EW and was oval in plan. It is seen as a refuse pit, and was cut into (1332), the fill of [1321].

Dating Narrative

    • A total of eight pot sherds were recovered from the fill of this pit, all of which were dated to 120-160AD.
