Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Cut [1305] that was dug into (1280), the fill of pit [1281], forming the upper fill. This pit also contained primary fill (1297). The cultural inclusion in this feature includes CBM, Roman pot, including plain samian waves and iron fragments and fragmented bone. There were burials in the area around this pit, and so it is likely that these fills could have been redeposited grave fills. Cut [1281] was dug into layer (1371).

Dating Narrative

    • A total of 20 pot sherds were recovered from fill (1280), all of which were dated to 120-160AD, and a single sherd was recovered from (1297), dated to 50-160AD.
