Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Area 2 was subject to heavy and extensive horizontal in the centre of the area. As a result only one feature survived in this part of the site, which was a heavily truncated soakaway that consisted of (1259) a rubble back fill, the soakaway its self {1258}, which was built into construction cut [1256], which was dug into the natural gravels of the site area.

Dating Narrative

    • The form and function of this feature, as well as the bricks it was composed of that were frogged, show it to be Late Post Medieval.
