Subgroup Narrative Text

    • This was a late feature in the sequence of site deposition. The cut is suspiciously modern looking, and there was tarmac found within the fill, however, it is possible that this was intrusive, or had been laid over the top of the feature in an effort to firm it up. The fills of this rectangular cut were mixed, and aside from the tarmac, the there was no modern material noted, and the pottery was fairly tightly dated. This is seen as a refuse pit.
