Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Stratigraphically [855] was dug into (845),a redeposited cremation within (660)=(852) one of the latest fills in the quarry face/pit recorded in subgroup 209. This was a mixed dumped deposit. Originally thought to be a Roman layer due to Roman pot sherd and large area convered by fill.

Dating Narrative

    • A total of 25 pot sherds were recovered from these layers, all of which were dated to 120-160AD.
