  • Cut and fill of Roman linear
  • 801

Contexts

  • Context: PCO06_801
    • Cut of Roman linear feature
  • Context: PCO06_802
    • Fill of linear cut 801

Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Cut [801] was filled by (802) and was a very shallow Roman linear feature. Context [801] is most likely to be part of a boundary within the Roman cemetery. Another Roman boundary feature was found to the north of area 1-[786] which is on the same orientation as [801] and almost the same axis but the cut [786] is obviously ditch like while [801] is a fairly unimpressive shallow linear. It is possible that these contexts were once part of the same feature, but they are now separated by heavy truncation from Post Medieval quarry pit [639].
