Group Description

    • Underlying the Roman features recorded in Group 10 in the west of the site area was (834), an irregular layer and underlying this was (844), the fill of pit [846]. This was a sandy clayish layer and may have been water lain, it was notably limited of finds other than occasional charcoal flecks. Both these layers were seen as lain down over occupation activity.

Dating Information

    • The seven pot sherds recovered from these layers were all dated to 120-160AD.
