Group Description

    • This group of quarry pit cuts are seen as having been formed through [2150] having been the original cut of a relatively small quarry pit, which resulted in the slumping of (2152) from the pits sides. The pit is seen as having been recut by [2145], and (2144) resulting as slumped waste from the sides of the latter cut.

Dating Information

    • Due to the fills of this group resulting from slumpage from the pits edges, limited datable finds were recovered. However, of the finds some were broadly dated to 50-400AD, while other deposits were more accurately dated to 120-160AD.
