- Pit cut [1975] was cut into (1946) the fill of truncated pit [1947], that was dug into the natural gravels of the site area. The pit was relatively sterile and its function was unclear, but it was possibly a refuse pit.

- No datable material was recovered from the fill of this feature, but given its stratigraphic position it is seen as early Roman.
