    • Cut and fill of linear

Group Description

    • Layer (1589) sealed (1658)=(1653) the back fill of Roman pit [1659]=[1654]. The mixed fills of this feature indicate refuse deposits. The cut for this feature was dug into (1660), the latest fill of pit [1662], that also contained primary fill (1661). There was a redeposited cremation in it and a Roman coin found (Find 178), and fill (1662) was sampled as <148>. The pit was notably shallow, and was cut into layer (1677).
