Group Description

    • Post Medieval soil (1289) sealed (1400), the fill of grave cut [1402]. The fill was quite difficult to distinguish from the material it was dug into. The intered skeleton, (1401), was very well preserved. However, only the leg bones remained due to heavy truncation by 20th C activity. Cut [1402] was dug into (1425), (1415), and (1403).

Dating Information

    • A total of 7 pot sherds were recovered from this feature, all dating to 120-160AD. However, stratigraphically these features are later, seen as Roman III, and so these finds are seen as residual.
