  • Laid in regular course but without any recognisable bonding pattern comprises 6 courses: 5 laid on bed, lowest course is of stretchers laid on edge

  • Soft, mid grey, sandy mortor with occasional charocal, moderate chalk grit, lime and flint grit. Height of 4 courses on bed/4 joints: 0.32m
  • 1.27m W-S, 0.37m EW, 0.52m high
  • Truncated by modern intrusion to N&S. Plastered on E-facing side (perhaps indicating cellar on this side). There's a crack running down through this which also extends through (503), almost certainly caused by subsidence & poor construction
