  • Light grey mottled with orange, the grey tends to occur around the skeleton at the base of the cut.
  • Silty sand 2:8
  • Frequent decomposing bone/ occa. iron fitting
  • 2.16 x 0.49 x 0.09m
  • Three Fe nails were found in the edge of the cut and a handle fitting occured near the head in the edge (see reverse for sketches)
  • Excavated with trowel/sunny
