- Main fill of pit [1213]. This was the main fill in a medium sized pit. Within (1212) was two (and maybe remains of a third) Roman pottery vessels (1222) found and below remains of a skull and other bones (1254). Unsure if the other bones were human though

Description
- Moderately compact
- Dark grey to black
- silt
- Moderate charcoal, moderate pebbles mostly to the east part, occasional burnt bone, occasional bone
- Thickness: c0.4m
- A lot of Roman pottery was found in the fill. A smaller concentration of pebbles were located in the east part. One the surface it was square shaped but the pit turned out irregular; Sample No. 77
- Excavated by mattock and trowel in dry conditions
