    • Cut and fill of small Roman cut feature

Group Description

    • Stratigraphically, early post medieval pit [672] cut into (832), the backfill of small Roman truncated cut feature [833]. Due to the shape and orientation of this feature, it was seen to be a truncated Roman grave, although no grave goods were encountered nor any skeletal material (though the latter may have decomposed due to acidity of the gravels and sands).
