- [786] is a Roman ditch probably used as a cemetery boundary. The orientation of [786] is parallel or at right angles to the Roman burials found in Area 1 of the site. The presence of Roman ditch boundaries within the cemetery also corresponds to other sites dug around the area of Prescot Street which also contained Roman burials. Unfortunately, only a small section of [786] remains due to truncation by a large post-Medieval quarry pit. The extension of [786] past it's truncation by the quarry pit is possible ROman shallow linear [801]
