Description

    • Fill in pit [1281]- upper fill/main fill. Although some nails randonly spread out pieces ofbone, there are no clear evidence of a burial, however, there are burials in the area around this pit

Description

  • Moderately compact, softer further down
  • Mid-brown
  • Sandy silt
  • Moderate small angular and sub-angular stones, very occasional yellowish sandy inclusions, occasional pottery pieces, occasional charcoal, occasional bone
  • Thickness: 0.29-0.30m
  • A few nails were found in the fill, a few bones and coin <120>, pin <121>, bone button <123>, has been truncated by Georgian wall 1268 to the West
  • Mattock and trowel in mostly dry conditions
