Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Roman pit cut [1329] was cut into (1361), the pit fill of cut [1360]. Mixed within the fill were the remains of disturbed cremation burial. This is very similar to fill (1347) of pit [1346]. This area could indicate a practice of redepositing cremations. Cut [1360] was dug into the natural gravels of the site area.

Dating Narrative

    • A total of ten pot sherds were recovered from the fill of this feature, all of which were dated to 120-160AD.
