Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Cut by Early Post Medieval ditch cut [1000] was (1057). This fill appears to contain redeposited artifacts associated with things to be found in graves, such as shale beads, iron nails and bone fragments. So it is a possibility that the contents of this pit cut were redeposit grave fills. Context (1057) was the fill of [1056] which was dug into the natural gravels of the site area.

Dating Narrative

    • Two pot sherds were recovered from the fill of this pit, both of which were dated to 200-275AD.
