    • Mixed dump deposit overlaying gravels

Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Underlying deposit (958) lay (1219), a mixed dumped deposit overlying gravels. Due to sitly composition of the deposit the limited number for finds, and the sandy lenses it is probable that this was a waterlain deposit, possibly inwash after abandonment of the area from quarrying. Very few inclusions were recorded in this deposit, CBM fragments were noted, but these could be intrusive as the feature was heavily truncated by construction cuts for Late Post Medieval structures.
