- Underlying the Post Medieval soils or truncated by Post Medieval features was a series of ephemeral Roman linears. In the far west of the site lay subgroup 129, what is seen as the ephmeral remains of a linear that held very heavily abraded finds, and was truncated by the probing wall. Subgroup 145 was a very shallow Roman linear feature, seen as a boundary within the Roman cemetery. Another Roman boundary feature was found to the north of area 1, subgroup 158, which is on the same orientation as 145. It is possible that these features were once part of the same linear, but they were separated by heavy truncation from Post Medieval quarry pit [639]. The presence of Roman ditch boundaries within the cemetery also corresponds to other sites dug around the area of Prescot Street which contained Roman burials.

Dating Information

- Three pot sherds were recovered from this feature, all of which were dated to 50-160AD.
