Group Description

    • Post Medieval construction cut [1444] was dug into (1342) the fill of ditch [1343], which was dug into (1349)=(313)=(1702), the fill of Post Medieval ditch cut [1350]=[314]=[1701]. Context [1343] is seen as a recut of [1350]=[314]=[1701]. The ditch is seen as having been a boundary marker, in both phases.

Dating Information

    • A total of 47 pot sherds were recovered from (1349), and of these 16 were dated 1480-1550AD, eight were dated to 1400-1500, and 25 were dated to 200-400AD; these latter two groups of sherds are seen as residual.
