Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Cut [1898] was dug into (1902), sampled as <213>, and which formed the upper fill in pit [1909], that also contained primary fill (1908). Context (1902) was seen as a later capping layer in this pit, which was deposited over (1908), a mixed refuse deposit. Cut [1909] was dug into the natural graves of the site area and was one of the earliest features in this area of the site.

Dating Narrative

    • No datable finds were recovered from the lower fill of this feature, but given its stratigraphic position it is seen as Roman.
