- Cut [1482] was dug into (1488), the upper fill in pit [1491], that also contained pit fills (1489), and primary fill (1490). This earliest fill was a sterile mix of sands and gravels, seen as a collapse of the sides of the pit, and so the pit was very probably left open for some time before the later fills were deposited. Cut[1491] was a heavily truncated pit, that was dug into (1646), the barren pit fill of cut [1647].

- No ceramics were recovered from the lower fill of this pit cut, but given its stratigraphic position it is seen as Roman.
