Subgroup Narrative Text

    • Underlying (1289) was (1857) the fill of grave cut [1859], that was dug for burial (1858). Inhumation (1858) was supine and in fair condition, although the right hand side of the face and the lower right leg were poorly preserved. The grave fill was sampled as <209>, <210>, <211>, and <212>. Cut [1859] was dug into (1937) a mixed deposit of dumped material.

    • A total of 3 pot sherds were recovered from this feature and were all dated to 120-160AD. No other dating material was recovered from this feature.
