  • sandy gravel and sandy clay, med-high frequency of mostly fin- coarse flint pebbles, mostly rounded and subrounded

  • Occupies base and sides of pit, no more than c. 0.3m thick (thinner in places, especially on upper sides)
  • The sandy clay material occured in lumps and patches, mostly near base. Copper alloy Roman fibula 146
