Group Description

    • In an area of heavy truncation, underlying the modern overburden lay (1845) the building rubble fill of pit cut [1846]. This feature was seen as relating to the construction phase of the Late Post Medieval on the site; possibly dug to help dispose of building rubble on the site during the construction. Cut [1846] was dug into fills (1857) and (1936).
