- Loose, friable
- Mix of yellow and light orangey-brown
- sandy gravel and sandy clay, med-high frequency of mostly fin- coarse flint pebbles, mostly rounded and subrounded
- v. occa. CBM, potsherd
- Occupies base and sides of pit, no more than c. 0.3m thick (thinner in places, especially on upper sides)
- The sandy clay material occured in lumps and patches, mostly near base. Copper alloy Roman fibula 146
