Qualifications:BSc Archaeology, AIfA
Started at L - P:2006
Expertise:Fieldwork Projects and Waterlogged Wood
Interests:Prehistoric Fenland

I am the London office manager for fieldwork and environmental services. As Head of our Archaeo-Environmental Department I lead L – P’s palaeoenvironmental team, working closely with project managers to co-ordinate environmental requirements of a project. I am responsible for the laboratory, storage space and processing facilities at our Cambridge office.

My expertise is the on site excavation and post excavation analysis of waterlogged wood and I provide this specialist service to archaeologists in the UK and internationally.

My background in field archaeology includes work for a variety of units in both East Anglia and London since 1998. I have also been fortunate enough to be involved with various research projects in South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Romania and the UK.

My research interests in the UK are focused around Flag Fen, Peterborough. I have been heavily involved in the research excavations there since 1997. This is the site that first sparked my interest in archaeology and has enabled me to develop expertise in ancient waterlogged wood. I have just co-edited the publication of the last 10 years of research at Flag Fen.
