Qualifications:BA Egyptian Archaeology, PIfA
Started at L - P:2006
Expertise:Marketing Archaeology
Interests:Archaeological training; Use of cultural heritage to build sustainable communities

I joined L – P at the beginning of 2006 and am responsible for marketing our services across the UK and abroad, and drumming up press attention for appropriate developer-funded projects. I also project manage our Archaeological Training Day, held in conjunction with Flag Fen Bronze Age Centre in Peterborough, which is part of L – P’s commitment to raising the profile of commercial archaeology.

Before joining L – P I worked at University College London promoting archaeology as a degree subject and organising events – for students, the public, schools and even the Metropolitan Police – to showcase the skills and techniques involved in modern archaeology.

After reading Egyptian Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology , I took post-graduate courses in management of archaeological sites and education in archaeology. I have excavated in the UK, United Arab Emirates and Thailand.

My interests include the role of trade in the beginnings of state society, the career structure of archaeologists and heritage professionals in the UK, and the role that cultural heritage can play in helping to build sustainable communities for the future.

I also like to shoot clay pigeons and cook Thai food.
